DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR THE IMPORT OF VEHICLES
- Form P17 (completed)
- Document of T2L or T2LF (to be obtained from the shipping company or the Customs service in the European country of origin to prove the customer’s community status in Europe)
- Passports (valid and expired, of at least last 5 years)
- Shipping documents
- Alien Registration Certificates (for the applicant and the family)
- Permit of residence (for the applicant and the family)
- Sales contract
- Driver’s license
- A document proving employment of applicant outside Cyprus (insurance records, payslips or tax returns can be given)
- A document proving the children of the applicants are enrolled in a school (for applicants having school-going children)
- Utility or telephone bills
- Contract of employment in Cyprus
TAXATION
- Sum of 10% - 22% of the CIF value of the used car and the Engine Capacity tax will be levied as Import Duty.
- A Sum of 19% of the CIF value, Import Duty, and Excise Duty will be charged as VAT.
