Left-hand drive used Japanese cars are permitted for import in the Czech Republic. Age restriction of 5 or 8 years is imposed on the import of Japan used cars and is based on the type of car.

• Commercial invoice
• Bill of Lading
• Shipper’s Export Declaration (SED for vehicles that require an export license)
• Declaration of conformity (to be issued by the importer of the vehicle)
• Insurance proof
• Registration certificate of the vehicle
• A document proving the payment of VAT (for the vehicle which is less than 6 months old and has been driven more than 6000 km)
• Vehicle registration check
• Roadworthiness certificate
• Permit of residence or a document validating the length of stay or proof of asylum in the country
• A document stating required information for the release of the technical certificate
