Right-hand-drive used Japanese cars are allowed for import in Senegal. Left-hand drive vehicles are permitted for import but once the tour is completed, the vehicles are required to be exported again. Japan used cars that are imported for private use must be less than 3 years old from the registration date and less than 4 years old from the manufacture date. The used Japanese vehicles that are imported for commercial purposes must be less than 5 years old from the registration date and less than 6 years old from the manufacture date. Pre-shipment inspection is done for the import of Japan used vehicles in Senegal.

• Title and Registration certificate (original)
• Commercial Invoice
• Approval permit (required before the departure of the shipment from the port of origin)

The Bill of Lading must clearly show the registration number, engine and chassis number, year of manufacture, cubic capacity, brand, and model of the used Japanese car.
