DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR IMPORT OF VEHICLES
Documents required for importing Japan used cars in Slovenia are: Bill of Lading (original)
  • Purchase invoice
  • Car documents (original, from the country of export)
  • Title and Registration certificate
  • Passport (or diplomat’s ID)
  • A document stating the car’s details
The document stating the details of the used car should include
  • the country of registration
  • registration number plate
  • VIN number
  • Motor type number
  • Brand and model
  • Odometer reading
  • Color, etc.
TAXATION
  • 0.5% to 52% of tax is imposed on the import of motor vehicles and is based on the engine power, type of fuel used, and amount of CO2 emissions.
  • 1.5% to 5% tax is imposed on the import of motorcycles and is based on the power of the engine used.
