Left-hand-drive used Japanese vehicles are permitted for import in Togo. The safety and emissions regulations of Togo must be cleared by the used Japanese car to be imported in the country.

Documents required for the import of Japan used vehicles in Togo are:

• Title and Registration certificate
• Commercial invoice
• Bill of Lading
• Non-sale certificate

• For non-diplomats, all Japan used vehicles imported in the country will be liable for 53.5% import taxes on the CIF value of the vehicle.
• For diplomats, the importation of the used vehicles from Japan would be duty-free.
• 3.12% of the duties will be imposed on the clients that are working for international organizations.
